Changing The Website Logo
This page will show you how to change the logo at the top of most of the pages from my
domain name to yours. This is a picture of what the top looks like with my domain name
planningawedding101.com.
Open up .
You are going to have to switch back and forth between web pages at the bottom of your screen
to follow these instructions or you can print this page out and then just use it to follow
the steps at cool text.
You should see the window below -- if you don't click on logos at the top and it will appear.
Now I am going to show you how I got my logo. You of course may use any of these you choose
just so it is the right size to fit into the header on the websites. Choose cool metal at the
red arrow.
The first thing I changed was the font. I happen to really like the Kirsty font so I used
it for my logo. Here is how you get it into your logo. Click on the font (red arrow) and
proceed through the next couple of pictures.
Choose Classic Fonts -- note all the fonts you have to choose from.
Choose Use Kirsty font. Note how you can also download the Kirsty font and later insert it into
the fonts you use for all your applications on your computer. This site has more downloadable
fonts of any site I know and they are all free. I like it so much this is the first Fun
and Free site I send out to Wealth With Time Team members.
Next change the font size to 60 at the top red arrow using the little up and down size
arrows on the box. This is the size that fit well into my header. If you use a much longer
domain name you may have to reduce the size of the font.
Next we are going to change the color of the gradient. Click on the gradient by the lower
red arrow.
Choose Browns at the red arrow.
Now go ahead and type in the name of your domain as you want to see it in your header (top
red arrow). No go down and select file format jpg at bottom red arrow. A menu will appear
asking you what background color you want -- leave it at white. Now click on Render Logo.
Select Download Image.
Select SAVE.
Now find the folder called Images in the folder you set up to store all of your files. Once
you get it all the images in the folder will be displayed below in the big box. Replace
the file name they have inserted with logo -- you must use logo because you want to replace
my domain name in all the pages that use a header and all of that code is looking for an
image called logo.jpg. Make sure the file type is jpg or jpeg as shown on the screen -- same thing.
You must see this box if you did it right because it will find my logo image already there
and ask you if you want to replace it. If you don't get this box you are probably in the
wrong folder because it did not find my logo image. Select Yes and you are done.
Go back to your browser and open up the index.html file and see if your logo is there. Also
make sure the size is right and looks OK and has not changed the size of the page because
your logo is too long.
